DAY ZERO – DWELLERS OF THE DEAD SEA FESTIVAL.

Did you know that on 27th September, this year, just moments before the Jewish New Year, 15,000 nomads gathered at the foothills of Masada to celebrate all night long their music and lifestyle. Read on to find out what it is all about.

In 2012, Day Zero began as a celebration of Mayan culture at the dawn of a new beginning in a jungle cenote (pit or sinkhole) in Tulum, Mexico.  This music festival has gone on to become a phenomenon and has for the first time since its inception added a new location, Masada, Dead Sea.

Day Zero celebrated the thousands of wandering nomads that travelled through the desert and settled around the Dead Sea with a new experience of musical genius at the foothills of the historical and ancient mountain of Masada.
