VERTIGO DANCERS
As part of the Tamar Dance activities a group of 14-16 year old performed at the famous Susan Dellal Centre in Tel Aviv as part of a project with the Vertigo Dance Company.
Last month saw the end of an exciting period in the lives of the council’s youth dancers. who trained for many months on a project named "Vertigo Dancers". The girls danced a part from "Birth of the Phoenix", in a performance on stage at Suzan Dellal in Tel Aviv in co-operation with the Vertigo Dance Company.
Adi Sha'al and Noa Wertheim are the founders of the Vertigo Dance company which was established in 1992. The two met through dance and have built their own company and joined together as life partners over the past 30 plus years. The Vertigo Dance company is a contemporary dance company that challenges all new proteges to reach new boundaries and encourages the audience to take part in their journey into new and unfamiliar territories. The name Vertigo comes from the couples first performance together and the 'dizziness' of that duet has enabled them to create a true artistic experience for anyone who dares to dare.
The Tamar dancers aged between 14 - 16 were accompanied by Sharon Cohen, a dancer from the Vertigo troupe and rehearsed for months in a serious and exemplary manner. The audience was moved by the young girls achiements which brought pride and an impressive representation of the Tamar dance club.
