THE TAMAR MUSIC FESTIVAL - BACK WITH FULL ENERGY!

The COVID-19 virus has disrupted our lives quite enough. It is time to get back out and enjoy life. So the Tamar Music Festival, held annually at the Dead Sea is back - and raring to go!!!

The Tamar Regional Council is excited to open the Hall of Culture in Nature at the foothills of Masada for the annual Tamar Music Festival during the week of the Succot (Feast of the Tabernacles) holiday period.  This is a time of celebration in Israel when the Israeli public attends shows, festivals, gatherings and so much more throughout the week. The festival on the shores of the Dead Sea is a celebration of life and nature with artistic performances that boasts original content in Israeli music and continues to raise the bar of originality of the collaborations of the aritists in a production spread over four days, a various locations throughout the region, glorifying the desert nature.

This year, too, the Tamar Festival continues to shine with original productions and partnerships that inspire and create extraordinary compositions in a wide Israeli musical range. This year, the production has surpassed the pace it set for itself, and the general public will experience five days of the summit of Israeli music, all against the backdrop of breathtaking desert scenery and the well-known sunrise performances that have become classics. Many well-known artists will perform from  Shalom Hanoch in a new show - Exit 2021, special guest: Shlomi Shaban, followed by Mosh Ben Ari, a dear festival friend who will host: Yuval Dayan. Keren Peles, who will host: Hatikva 6, and finally the one and only: Eviatar Banai.

Once a year and exclusively for the Tamar Festival, in the light of the sunrise, special performaces are held in breathtaking scenery on the summit of Masada.  This year famous artists will premiere shows and old friends are returning.  As is the best tradition, on the eve of the festival there will be desert performances open to the general public! Under the baobab tree in Kibbutz Ein Gedi, 'Carolina' will perform in an intimate and special show, the next day they will perform a joint hit show: Korin Elal and Ronit Shachar, and on Thursday Rif Cohen will come and perform with Grove in French. Just before a new album, we will meet Alon Adar and a band in the Sodom Square for an acoustic show, and the next day we will be pampered with a hit show from all the periods of Hemi Rodner, a show full of energy and warmth.
